The guy who wished he had Jessie’s girl is playing a free show in Austin. That’s right! Rick Springfield is coming to the ATX.

The 80’s pop icon will play Longhorn City Limits presented by Still Austin Whiskey Co. on Saturday, November 9. Springfield will perform a special postgame show following Texas Football’s SEC showdown with the Florida Gators.

Longhorn City Limits shows are located on the LBJ Lawn and admission is FREE! The Rick Springfield show will take place at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Prior to the game, Texas’ only award-winning mashup band More Cowbell will kick off Longhorn City Limits with a special 90-minute performance beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Austin Music Award winner’s sets feature two or more songs seamlessly-blended together in compositions that leave audiences laughing and dancing at the same time.

Here’s what else you can expect at Longhorn City Limits:

Fans ages 21-and-up can enjoy signature experiences at the Still Austin Music Lounge.  Serving up a full menu of refreshments, the lounge provides relaxation in a shaded area. You can also snag limited-edition swag curated by Still Austin Whiskey Co.

You’ll likely find us at the Tito’s Tailgate, located in front of the LBJ Fountain. This area features refreshing Tito’s cocktails on tap, shaded views of the stage, and misting stations. You may also grab some swag like limited edition Texas themed bandanas and stylish sunglasses.

New this season, Pinkerton’s BBQ serves up barbecue on gamedays. Recognized by Texas Monthly as a “Top 50 BBQ Joint” from 2017-2024, this marks Pinkerton’s first satellite location in Austin.
