On the most recent episode of RHONY, after Brynn and Utah got into a heated argument, Brynn said she wanted to make sure her friend didn’t come across as angry. She revealed in her confessional that she did not want Ubah to be perceived as an “angry black woman.”

Brynn was worried that if she came off angry, Ubah’s boyfriend, Oliver Dachsel, would not want to marry her. Brynn has since gotten tons of backlash leading her to release a statement on her Instagram story where she said an “off camera interaction were conveyed without context.”

Brynn Whitfield did apologize to viewers saying she “deeply regrets” what happened adding that she was sorry if she overstepped. Brynn did note that the episode was made to appear that she was bringing up this stereotype out of no where which was furthest from the truth.

Brynn says, “The truth is, ‘angry black woman,’ was brought up by Ubah last year in Anguilla.” Brynn says that after the incident in Anguilla, the two of them would discuss the harmful stereotype.

Brynn hopes that the “powerful 4th wall moment that happened in Anguilla, well before the Hamptons, will be shown at this years reunion.”
