In a recent interview, Ripple co-founder revealed why he donated a significant amount to Kamala Harris and praised her leadership.

As per the latest reports, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen donated net $11.8 million to PACs supporting Harris’s campaign. Previously, he had donated nearly $1 million. With this large donation, Larsen has become one of the top donors among crypto leaders.

In an interview with CNBC, Larsen expressed his support for Harris, stating he felt comfortable with her campaign team and is impressed with her leadership since taking over from Biden in July.

These actions indicate Larsen is moving toward the future with political backing or supporting a potential US presidential candidate expected to win the upcoming election. However, the final result remains uncertain, as past elections have often defied predictions.

It’s worth noting that Ripple has been under legal scrutiny since December 2020, and the situation has not improved under the current Democratic Party administration, which Kamala Harris represents.

Some have pointed out the irony that Ripple, facing legal challenges under this administration, is now donating to and hoping for the party’s victory.

Crypto experts believe this move may yield significant political advantages for Ripple, especially in their legal battle, if Kamala Harris wins the presidential election.
