It’s a little bit crazy to think that Australian pop prodigy Ruel is still just 21 years old.

The star is far from a new kid on the block with a string of headline tours across the globe and a critically acclaimed 2023 debut album 4TH WALL. Having first arrived on the scene at 14, it’s fair to say that the London-born Aussie is a veteran well before his years.

On latest single ‘Cats on the Ceiling’, Ruel lets his experience take over in an easy-going and sun-kissed flick that sees him accept life for what it is. The singer teams up with long-time producer M-Phazes on the flick.

He said: “I think there is so much more out there for us to experience in this life if we can just “let go” of all that pent up self-control from time to time.

“I wrote Cats to express the joy that comes from giving in to the great unknown and I want people to be able to interpret that in whatever way feels good to them.”

The single arrives after Ruel made the long-awaited move to Los Angeles from Australia and off the back of the five-track Adaptions cover project. Earlier this year, Ruel released two collaborative singles, ‘What a Life’ and ‘We’re a Pair of Diamonds’, with indie rock trio DMA’S.
