Australian starlet Leila George is following in her famous mother’s footsteps as an actress.
But the 32-year-old tells 9honey Celebrity she doesn’t really discuss her roles with her mum, Aussie actress Greta Scacchi.
“I think it’s more like she’s on call, in case I have a big question, but we don’t really talk about it,” George says on the red carpet in London.

“We don’t really talk about acting or the industry when we’re at home, we’re too busy cooking or bickering about things, you know,” she continued.
“But I do feel really lucky to be able to call up if I have something specific to ask.”
The Sydney-born beauty didn’t even use her phone-a-friend when taking on her latest role in the new cinematic TV series, Disclaimer.

George plays a young Catherine Ravenscroft in flashback scenes throughout the seven-part series, directed by four-time Oscar-winner Alfonso Cuarón.
The older Ravenscroft is played by none other than fellow Aussie actress Cate Blanchett.
George tells 9honey Celebrity she didn’t know the film and theatre star before production began but admits they had met once before.

“I think I was about 12 at my family house in Sussex, but no, I really don’t know her,” George said at the series’ special presentation premiere at the London Film Festival.
“She was so lovely and welcoming to me. I feel really honoured to be a part of this with her.”
Ravenscroft, a respected and successful journalist, has her life start to unravel after the publication of a book threatening to expose a secret from her past.

While George and Blanchett play the same character, the pair didn’t get to work together on set to develop Ravenscroft and bring her off the page.
“We got about a day to block through a couple of the scenes together, and so I could see what her vision for it was and stay as true to it as possible,” George explained.
“Honestly, she was so generous with me in kind of handing it over and saying, ‘She’s yours now. Go for it, good luck,’ and that was really liberating and really nice of her to do.”

George, who was previously married to actor Sean Penn, stars largely opposite Enola Holmes star Louis Partridge through the series.
Disclaimer also stars Sacha Baron Cohen as Blanchett’s husband, while ’90s acting legend Kevin Kline returns to screens after a three-year absence to play a grieving father out for revenge on Blanchett’s character.
Disclaimer will launch on AppleTV+ on October 11 with two episodes and then weekly episode releases to follow.
