Actor Brian Cox has revealed his and his wife’s unusual living arrangement.
The Succession actor, 79, and his wife Nicole Ansari-Cox, 56, have homes in Brooklyn and New York, but as of late they have been spending more time in Britain partly due to Donald Trump’s second term as president.
Their new locale has thus provided need for a new property, with the Scottish actor revealing in an interview with the Times of London that he bought a new one specifically for his wife to live in, since they normally live apart.

Nicole’s new three-bedroom apartment is a short nine-minute walk away from the actor’s own residence in Primrose Hill, but the Braveheart star admitted, “When I go to her flat, I always feel I’m imposing.
“She said: ‘Come, you’ve got to come over. Why don’t you come?’ I said: ‘Well, it’s a long walk…'” he joked.
“Then I go, and I’m fine. But I’m always a bit nervous when I go there.”

The separate living arrangements are not a new thing for Brian and Nicole, who have previously shared that the secret to their happy marriage was having separate bedrooms.
He told the same outlet in a February 2024 interview, ”You visit one another. Your partner must feel free.”

Now he adds that the separate homes are an extension of this belief.
Nicole Ansari-Cox is the actor’s second wife, with whom he shares two sons, Orson Jonathan Cox and Torin Kamran Cox.
Before this he was married to his first wife, actress Caroline Burt, with whom he shares two children, Margaret and Alan, the latter of whom is also an actor.
In the same interview, he shared how his increased wealth due to his Succession role as patriarch Logan Roy has changed his life.

Despite it being able to buy his new property, his approximately $US 15 million (approx. $23 million) embarrasses the star.
“I haven’t changed,” he insisted, “I’m still the same and this attention to the detail of wealth freaks me out. I don’t like talking about it. I get embarrassed.
“They were talking about how much I earn the other day and I just said, ‘I don’t want to know that, thank you very much. Please keep that information to yourself.’ God almighty! Really? What a responsibility, living up to it apart from anything else.”
