Jul 3, 2025

If there’s one thing we know about Vera Wang, it’s that she’ll always bring the style to any occasion.

And that was of course the case as she celebrated her 76th birthday in Paris this week, looking like the queen of the catwalk in a tiny black lace dress.

The wedding dress guru visited the Chez l’Ami Louis restaurant on July 3 in the slinky number, which featured intricate lace detailing on the hemline.

She teamed the look with a pair of white stilettos, a black bag, some chunky jewellery and statement black sunglasses.

“Yet another one of my favorite Paris b’day haunts……CHEZ L’AMI LOUIS….. et les frites!!!!” she captioned the post alongside a string of photos posing in the city streets.

Wang also shared a plethora of snaps from earlier in the week, attending various lunches and events with loved ones to mark the occasion.

Wang is an iconic American designer globally known for her incredible and often unconventional bridal gowns.

Wang has previously spoken out about the moments her name is in headlines for the fashion she wears, rather than who she has dressed.

“I’m sort of the one that always puts the women I dress upfront,” she told People.

“I am a fashion designer. And I have dressed some of the most amazing women over the last 30 years on the red carpet when they’ve actually won Oscars or Golden Globes or Emmys. And so I’m always the one pushing them out the door, and fixing their train at the Met Gala.”

Speaking about a photo that went viral of herself posing in 2020, she added: “Even my years at Vogue as a sittings editor, I created a lot of the pictures and was always behind the camera. So I always thought of myself as somebody who, in all fairness, was the creator and not the subject matter. So it was sort of shocking. I can’t lie to you.”

The fashion designer also shared how she takes care of herself.

“Sleep is key to having survived growing a company, raising two kids,” she told the outlet. “I mean, I don’t think I could exist if I wasn’t able to sleep. I had to get rest because I feel it’s a regenerator. So sleep is a very big part and certainly vodka.”
