Singer Jessie J has taken to social media to clarify comments she’s cancer-free after undergoing breast cancer surgery.

As she recovers from a procedure performed last week, the 37-year-old shared a list of pros and cons with fans on her Instagram Story on Wednesday.

Attempting to see the lighter side of the experience, Jessie noted pros such as getting to “watch Love Island with no guilt” and “my nipple is where it used to be”.

However, she also added “cancer is all gone” with a fingers crossed emoji.

The singer told fans in a social media update on Thursday (Friday AEST), the emoji was key in her message.

“I’m getting a lot of messages saying so happy all the cancer has gone,” she wrote.

“To be clear I added [fingers crossed] emoji as it’s a hope not a fact. I only had my surgery four days ago.

“I was just saying the pros of surgery and this situation and being positive.

“But I will get my results soon. And hopefully I can post that as a fact. But for now I don’t know. But I will stay positive and talk what I want into the universe.”

In fact, Jessie listed “the fear of not knowing if the cancer is all gone” as one of the cons in her list, too.

The singer shared her shock diagnosis with fans via social media on June 3, warning them she would “disappear for a bit” to focus on her health and her young family.

In her latest update the mother-of-one admitted she feels guilty for not “picking Sky up” or being “the mum I’m used to being” to her toddler.

But Jessie added that her own mum, who she labelled a superhero, has moved in with her and partner Chanan Safir Colman to help look after their son while she recovers.

Since telling fans about her “early breast cancer” diagnosis, she has kept them updated regularly.

Earlier this week, the Price Tag singer shared a clip documenting her journey so far.

“I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through,” she promised fans.
