Celebrity guests start arriving in Venice for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding

Jun 25, 2025

Jeff Bezos and his bride to be Lauren Sanchez have arrived in Venice ahead of their nuptials, for an event already being dubbed “the wedding of the century”.

The Italian extravaganza is set to have no expense spared and has an A-list guest list to match, with the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Mick Jagger and Leonardo Di Caprio expected to attend.

Celebrities started arriving on Wednesday for the three-day event kicking off on Thursday, culminating in the couple saying “I do” on Saturday.

US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump was spotted arriving with her husband, former White House adviser Jared Kushner.

Designer Diane Von Furstenberg arrived at Venice Marco Polo Airport but it’s not known if the designer has an official role in the wedding, as details remain under wraps around outfits.

Corey Gamble, Kris Jenner’s partner, was spotted on a water taxi near the Hotel Aman -where George and Amal Clooney wed in 2014 – suggesting the remainder of the Kardashian/Jenner clan could be set to arrive in Venice any minute.

Sanchez has made small appearances on reality TV show The Kardashians in recent series and Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner were among those spotted at the bride’s bachelorette party in Paris in May.

Jenner and Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian were also on hand to support Sanchez in her trip to space.

The bride and groom arrived by helicopter before taking a water taxi to the five-star hotel on the Grand Canal, the entrance to which has been covered in a tent for added privacy.

The couple waved to photographers from inside their boat, which was trailed by two security boats amid protests from locals.

Local activists had been protesting against the wedding and mass-tourism for days with more planned for Saturday, aiming to obstruct access to canals with boats to prevent guests from reaching a wedding venue.

They modified the protest to a march from the train station after claiming a victory, asserting that their pressure forced organisers to change the venue to the Arsenale, a more easily secured site beyond Venice’s congested centre.

There are set to be 200 high-profile attendees, including former NFL star Tom Brady who is understood to be among the guest list.

Matteo Bocelli, Andrea Bocelli’s son is rumoured to be performing at the wedding.

Orlando Bloom was reportedly set to “make his debut as a single man”, according to TMZ earlier this week – amid reports of a split from longtime love Katy Perry – that may not be the case.

The actor has posted photos on social media while in South Australia with the couple’s daughter Daisy, as Perry tours around the country.

But Venice is only a private jet ride away if Bloom does decide to attend solo, as Perry is performing on the Friday and Sunday in Adelaide.
