Sabrina Carpenter is considering a very controversial move for future concerts.
The pop superstar has recently come under fire from critics who think her music and performances are too sexual, which she admitted she finds “so funny”.
But rather than step away from the public eye and lets things blow over, Carpenter has decided she can’t please everyone and has instead doubled down with a new controversial statement.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, the Espresso singer said that she is considering banning mobile phones from her shows.
Some may assume that the decision comes in the wake of fans filming her performance of Juno during her Short N’ Sweet tour, a moment that became viral online and has since been heavily criticised by some for being too sexual.

But it actually has nothing to do with that. Carpenter simply wants concertgoers to live in the moment.
“This will honestly p— off my fans,” the singer said before explaining her reasoning.
”I went to see Silk Sonic in Vegas, and they locked my phone. I’ve never had a better experience at a concert.
“I genuinely felt like I was back in the Seventies – wasn’t alive. Genuinely felt like I was there.
“Everyone’s singing, dancing, looking at each other, and laughing. It really, really just felt so beautiful.”
The singer went on to say that she has “unfortunately” grown up in the age of people having phones, making the idea of filming a concert a normal experience to her.

“I can’t blame people for wanting to have memories,” she said.
“But depending on how long I want to be touring, and what age I am, girl, take those phones away.
“You cannot zoom in on my face. Right now, my skin is soft and supple. It’s fine. Do not zoom in on me when I’m 80 years old up there.”
