Rebel Wilson found herself in a rather painful situation on the set of her latest film.
The Aussie actress appears alongside her Pitch Perfect co-star Anna Camp in the upcoming flick Bride Hard, playing a maid of honour whose life as a secret spy upturns her best friend’s wedding.
Wilson, 45, spent five weeks training for the stunts and fight scenes in the movie, however nothing could have prevented the on-set disaster that left her in “a pool of blood”.

”I did have a massive injury on this movie,” Wilson shared in an interview alongside Camp with Access Hollywood.
“In a fight scene, a gun accidentally got whacked across my face. It was just a freak accident, and my nose got split open, so I left set.
“It was really my last night of shooting. I was like, ‘How unlucky can I be?'”

The actress said the incident left her in “a pool of blood” explaining, “If anyone has had a facial injury, they know, there’s so much blood”.
“I was freaking out,” Wilson continued.
“They take an ambulance and they have to call a plastic surgeon, because if they didn’t, I would have been permanently disfigured.
“So we got the plastic surgeon, they did all the stitches, and you can’t tell now, really, you can’t tell.”
Wilson and Camp appear in the film along with a star-studded line up including Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Justin Hartley.

Bride Hard is directed by Simon Alexander West, known for movies including Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Con Air and The Expendables 2.
The film is set for release in just a number of days over in the US, however us Aussies are going to have to wait a little longer.
Bride Hard is set to be released in Aussie cinemas on July 31.
