Jesinta married the AFL legend in an intimate Blue Mountains wedding in 2017 and welcomed their first child together, Tallulah in 2020.
Buddy, a proud Noongar-Wajuk man, opened up about what he’s learned since becoming a father.
“I appreciate my mother and all women, but the appreciation of seeing exactly what mothers do, day in day out … my appreciation for them is just through the roof, and especially my wife,” he wrote on the Sydney Swans website.
A year later, they welcomed their second child, a son, named Rocky.
Jesinta admitted her pregnancy with Rocky came as a big shock as the couple had struggled to conceive naturally the first time.

In August 2023, the couple made headlines after Buddy announced his shock retirement from the Sydney Swans and AFL. He remains the greatest footballer of his generation.
To mark the milestone the family took a photo together inside his Swans locker room.
“For 12 years footy has been such a huge part of our lives and has come with lots of highs and lows. It’s been an honour to be part of the journey with you Buddy. A fairytale career,” Jesinta wrote in a post to Instagram.
“The kids and I love you so, so much. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, we have made memories that we will cherish forever. Here’s to a new and very exciting chapter of our lives together.”
Now that new chapter will include a third little one, making them a family of five.
