Some stars walk the red carpets with their significant other, others with a family member or two. But for the last year, Demi Moore has done something different.
In May 2024, the actress attended a photo call at the annual Cannes Film Festival with a very special and unconventional guest: her tiny Chihuahua named Pilaf.
The 1.2 pound (roughly 500g) pup has since walked several red carpets with Moore, attended fashion weeks, appeared on talk shows, and even starred on the cover of Vogue‘s aptly called Dogue issue.

“She is my touchstone. She regulates the heart. She is a little healing, magical creature,” Moore told Vogue France
Moore flew Pilaf over all the way from Thailand after spotting her on social media during the COVID-19 pandemic.
One thing you’ll notice is that Pilaf’s tongue is usually out in pics – a quirk the actress has explained is due to the pup having lost her full set of teeth.

May 2024
Pilaf has been out with the stars as fashion weeks around the world!
Moore arrived at the Gucci Cruise 2025 Fashion Show in London on May 13 with her pup under her arm.

A few days after their fashion show outing in London, the duo were together in France for the annual Cannes Film Festival.
Moore brought Pilaf with her to a photo call for The Substance on May 19.

Moore adorably held her pup in photos.
Pilaf was on her best behaviour. The pup just sat in her mum’s lap for a talk at the photo call in Cannes.
“I can take Pilaf everywhere,” Moore told Vogue for their Dogue cover issue.
“She’s literally been to Broadway shows, museums, the French Open, art openings, restaurants.
“She’s a service animal, so she’s allowed to go everywhere. She’s flown to Europe 14 times.”
She also revealed to the outlet an adorable nickname for the pup: ”Little Mouse”.
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Moore explained why her pup’s tongue is always hanging out.
“She lost the teeth that hold it in, but it’s part of her charm,” she told The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon host.
Pilaf was back on the red carpet the next day at another photo call in Cannes.
As seen in the above photo, Moore was the picture of a proud mum as she showed off how well behaved her tiny pup is for the crowd to see.
June 2024
Pilaf is one cultured pup.
The Chihuahua returned for another international fashion week appearance – this time at Paris Fashion Week.
Moore went to the Dior Homme Menswear Spring/Summer 2025 for a girls day out with both Pilaf and her daughter, Scout LaRue Willis.

Pilaf joined the stars by the runway.

September 2024
Moore and Pilaf were ready for a movie night out in London.
The pup joined Moore for a special screening and Q&A of The Substance at BFI Southbank on September 25.

December 2024
In December, the duo went to another film festival together.
Here’s Moore, with Pilaf in hand, walking the red carpet at the SFFILM Awards Night on December 9.
The duo were in matching black outfits.
February 2025
Pilaf sat comfortably in a crossbody carrier for the night as she attended the Crate & Barrel x Brigette Romanek launch event in Los Angeles on February 20 with Moore.

A couple of days later, the pair were back on another red carpet for the 2025 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
Moore stunned at the California event on February 22 in a sheer striped ensemble.
Pilaf dressed up in matching stripes for the occasion too. How cute!

April 2025
Another day, another red carpet event for Pilaf.
On April 23, Pilaf joined Moore for the TIME100 Summit out in New York City.
She even sat on stage with Moore.
