‘No, no, it is not. Are you serious?’: Wild sum of money Alex Cooper turned down revealed in Aussie’s podcast

Alex Cooper has floored fans and an Aussie podcast host, revealing a wild sum of money she once turned down.

The Call Her Daddy podcast host, 30, confessed that while working as an influencer, she was offered a partnership that did not align with her values. 

“What’s the most money you’ve turned down for a brand deal and why?” Aussie reality star Harry Jowsey asked on the latest episode of his Boyfriend Material podcast.

Cooper, who Forbes reports is worth $22 million (AU$34,442,760), responded with the staggering figure.

She admitted she turned down a whopping $8 million (AU$12,524,640).

“No, no, it’s not!” Jowsey, 27, responded, clearly shocked. “No, no, it is not. Are you f**king serious?”

Alex Cooper, pictured here on July 25, has signed an agreement with SiriusXM for $125 million.

Cooper explained she declined the offer as she didn’t feel the unnamed brand was something she wanted to “put my face next to”.

A decision she says she still stands by.

“I think it’s important to say no to s**t because then you just lose your f**king credibility,” Cooper explained of the decision.

The star, who has more than 3 million followers on Instagram and 2 million followers on TikTok, concluded, “I was just, like, I’m not going to, like, f**king sell myself.”

In recent years, Cooper’s successful career has catapulted.

According to Forbes, the podcast host signed a deal with SiriusXM in 2024, worth a staggering $125 million (AU$195,697,500).

Prior to signing, Cooper had a three-year $60 million (AU$93,934,800) contract with streaming giant Spotify.

Fans who learnt about the $12 rejection on social media were floored.

“I’m sure she [is] making enough money to be able to turn down that amount of money,” one user wrote. 

Another praised Cooper, sharing, “That’s a show of integrity she kept her dignity and couldn’t be bought that’s admirable.”

And some just plain couldn’t believe it: “I’d never turn down 8 million. Like that’s crazy 😭.”
