Katy Perry reveals exactly what was written on butterfly cutout used in ‘cringe’ space stunt

Apr 17, 2025

Katy Perry has revealed exactly what was written on the butterfly cutout she took with her to space.

The Dark Horse singer, 40, climbed aboard Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin space flight this week to journey to the earth’s stratosphere.

During her journey, she held a daisy in front of the camera in tribute to her daughter, Daisy, along with a blue butterfly covered in text in a stunt some have found “cringe.”

Perry initially told AP that she was joining the space flight “for the next generation to inspire so many different people but especially young girls to go, ‘I’ll go to space in the future.’ No limitations.'”

Plenty of viewers criticised the singer for using the flight to promote her tour, as the butterfly cutout was a way to confirm the setlist for her upcoming Lifetimes tour. Many pointed out the text was also barely readable.

Today, Perry has posted a close-up shot of the butterfly trinket, revealing exactly what was written on it.

The singer’s fans were overjoyed by the announcement, writing, “OHHHH WE ARE SO READY FOR TOUR.”

“I’m so excited see you in June Katy,” another added.

The hitmaker’s news was also teased in a sit-down interview ahead of the flight.

“I’m launching a tour on April 23rd in Mexico, and I’ll be on tour for the rest of the year … and I think it’d be pretty cool to launch the setlist for that tour in space,” she said.
