Aussie actress Nicole Kidman has admitted she’s ready for a short career break after a “crazy” 2024.
The star, who is one of Australia’s top Hollywood exports, told The Hollywood Reporter at the premiere of her new film Holland that she’s “off for the rest of year” after season two of the show Nine Perfect Strangers is completed.

More recently, she had the likes of Expats, A Family Affair, Babygirl, Lioness, The Perfect Couple, Spellbound and Holland come out. It’s believed season two of Nine Perfect Strangers was filmed last year.
Speaking to the publication, Kidman, 57, said 2025 is “actually not as crazy”.
“I was much more out there last year; this year I have Holland, I have Nine Perfect Strangers, and then I’m off for the rest of year. So, oh well!” she added.

In the thriller Holland, co-starring the likes of Matthew Macfadyen, a woman’s perfect life appears to come crashing down when secrets are revealed.
It comes after Kidman won Best Lead Actress for Babygirl at the the 2025 AACTA International Awards.
Last year was also a devastating year for Kidman, who lost her beloved mother Janelle Ann Kidman in September.
At the time the actress rushed to leave the 81st Venice Film Festival early to be with her family in Australia.
”The final words my mama said, which I didn’t know were going to be the final words, I was gonna get on a plane and go back and see her, and she said, ‘Maybe wait a minute, because you just need to take care of yourself right now Nicky,”‘ Kidman said during a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning
”So I’m doing that more, and I say that to other people in the world. Particularly women. I think we tend not to care of ourselves. We take care of everybody else but the last person is here,” she said.
”My grandmother left me with ‘be happy’ and my mother said ‘take care of yourself.”‘
Talking about motherhood, she added: “And obviously I’m an older mother and I want to be around a long time for my girls… I’m lucky to have them. Taking care of myself means so that I can take care of them.”
Nicole and her sister Antonia issued a statement following the death of their mother, thanking fans and family for their support throughout the difficult time.
