Actor John Goodman has been injured while filming his new movie with Tom Cruise.
The 72-year-old sustained an injury to his hip during the production of Warner Bros and Legendary Picture’s new movie directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, which is currently filming in the UK.
A spokesperson from Warner Bros Pictures told Deadline, “Actor John Goodman experienced a hip injury. He received immediate medical attention that led to a brief delay in shooting to allow him time to recover.
“The production resumes shooting next week following John’s full recovery,” they concluded.
The outlet says that Goodman slipped while blocking a scene and was taken to hospital for treatment. Sources told them that the injury was “minor”.
Filming was paused for two days, with the actor being expected back on set on Monday.

The film project, which remains untitled, began production last year and is currently being filmed at Pinewood Studios in the UK.
According to IMDB, the plot follows “the most powerful man in the world [who] causes a disaster and embarks on a mission to prove that he is the saviour of humanity.”
The film will also features actors Tom Cruise, Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons and Australian actress Sophie Wilde.
It will be released in October next year.
Goodman is a decorated screen veteran with an Emmy, SAG Award and a Golden Globe under his belt. He has appeared in a number of beloved films and TV series such as Roseanne, The Conners, The Big Lebowski, The Flinstones and Monsters Inc.
