Glastonbury announces Olivia Rodrigo, Charli xcx, The 1975 and Neil Young as headline acts for 2025 festival

The recent big winner at this year’s BRIT Awards, Charli xcx, will be among this year’s Glastonbury headliners.

The annual British music festival, held in June, announced on Thursday headline performances will also feature from singer Olivia Rodrigo, band The 1975 in addition to the previously announced Neil Young gig.

Rod Stewart will take to the stage for the traditional Sunday afternoon “legend’s slot” in the line-up, which was first revealed late last year.

Other performers to make an appearance at Worthy Farm in Somerset include: Alanis Morisette, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Lola Young and US rap phenomenon Doechii.

Bands including Wolf Alice, Wet Leg, Fatboy Slim, Loyle Carner and Scissor Sisters will make their return to the iconic music festival, which will take place from June 25-29.

Rodrigo, 22, will be the second-youngest performer to close out the festival on Sunday night, after Billie Eilish – who was just 20 years old when she took top billing back in 2022.

But it won’t be the Drivers License singer’s first time at Glastonbury, having performed there in 2022 on a smaller stage.

Charli xcx, The 1975 and Young have also played the festival previously.

The 1975 will take to Pyramid Stage on Friday, marking their return to Glastonbury after nine years.

The often controversial English pop rock band previously performed at the festival in 2014 and 2016.

The group made global headlines in 2023 after frontman Matty Healy kissed bassist Ross MacDonald on-stage during the Good Vibes festival in Kuala Lumpur, after criticising Malaysia’s strict laws anti-LGBT laws.

Brat popstar Charli xcx, 32, is set to make her fifth appearance – having performed on various stages in 2015, 2017, 2022 and 2024 – and will headline Other Stage on Saturday night.

Singer Raye has been announced to perform before Young’s Saturday night set on Pyramid Stage, two years after her breakthrough lunchtime set on the very same stage in 2023.

Ezra Collective, Jorja Smith, The Libertines, The Maccabees, Franz Ferdinand, Kae Tempest, Beabadoobee, Kneecap, The Prodigy and more have also been announced in the line-up.
