‘Grateful’: Teddi Mellencamp tearfully reveals she’s back home from hospital following brain surgery

Real Housewives star Teddi Mellencamp has revealed she’s back home from hospital after having brain surgery to remove four tumours.

The 43-year-old, who shaved her head in preparation for the surgery, tearfully shared with fans a series of videos of herself heading home from hospital after 16 days.

In one video shared on her Instagram stories, she’s being driven home to the song Coming Home by P Diddy and Skylar Grey, and got visibly emotional as she sang along to the track.

“16 days and I get to go home!!!” she wrote, before thanking everyone who had supported her health journey recently.

She then shared a video of herself walking on a treadmill and said: “Starting back slow. Obviously very emotional watching your body change with so much medication from the brain tumors.”

“But just trying to remember how grateful I am that I can move my body again,” she added, before getting emotional.

Mellencamp also showed fans some of the bruising on her arms, writing: “Bruising and swelling but I know I can do this. F–k off tears. I can do hard things.”

Last week, Mellencamp revealed she had her staples removed from her head following the surgery.

Mellencamp shared an emotional black and white video of herself fighting back tears and appearing to hold a medical bag to her mouth as staff removed the staples.

“Got my staples out today,” Mellencamp captioned the candid video.

She previously revealed she had a total of four tumours removed during her brain surgery.

She shared a statement and wrote that “more tumours were removed than expected”.

“In full transparency, more tumours were removed than expected: 4 in total. This fight is not over, but that round has been won,” she wrote.

She added that she wanted to thank fans and supporters for their “love and prayers” during her health battle.

“I see them, and they’re definitely helping me stay strong,” she added.

Mellencamp, who recently announced that she was divorcing Edwin Arroyave, has previously shared with fans her journey amid her battle with skin cancer.
