The Hills stars Heidi Montag and husband Spencer Pratt are overcoming incredible heartache after losing their home and possessions in the wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles.

And now, Pratt, 41, has revealed that things are looking up for the couple and their family after they received an incredible amount in donations from fans.

The pair, who encouraged fans to stream Montag’s Superficial album and song I’ll Do It after the fires, received approximately $38,000 ($US24,000) from fans via TikTok and TikTok Live.

Speaking to Variety, Pratt revealed: “I made, like, $4,000 on TikTok this week, but on TikTok Live, where people can just give to me direct, I think maybe $20,000.”

“So that’s phenomenal, and life-changing. That’s the power of individual supporters, people just backing you and getting behind you.”

He said it’s unclear how much money, if at all, the pair have made from Montag’s music being streamed on social media, but said he’s hopeful “about the energy and opportunities that come from it”.

Pratt added the pair would be open to documenting their rebuilding process for a new show.

He said that despite it being the ”craziest time” for the pair, they’re “thankful” for all the support they’ve had.

On January 9, after fires tore through the Pacific Palisades, it was reported that Pratt and Montag’s home burned down.

Pratt later confirmed it with a heartbreaking photograph of one of their son’s bedrooms, with camera footage showing the bed burning in a shape of a heart.

“The one positive sign i saw as our house burned down was ours sons bed burned in the shape of a heart,” Pratt wrote on Instagram.

“A sign of how much love was in this house so thankful for all the years and memories there with our family.”

The pair also spoke to Good Morning America about losing their home and Pratt said he lost a lot of memories from his childhood, like special photographs.

“I feel like a ghost, I don’t have a single photo now from before an iPhone existed,” he said.

Montag added: ”Spencer was like ‘grab anything you want to keep’ and I was like, how do you choose? You know, my brain actually stopped working because I was so overwhelmed with so many things you can’t replace.”
