Twenty years ago, the entire country was obsessed with a pair of Aussie sisters: Tahyna and Cheyenne Tozzi.
In the early 2000s, Tahyna was a certified It girl, carving out her name as a model and actress.
Whether it was fashion magazines or TV screens, her face was everywhere.
Tahyna starred in the popular coastal teen drama Blue Water High.

She played Perri, a Gold Coast glamour queen, in 2005 and 2006.
The Sydneysider made her movie debut with two projects in 2009: the Aussie indie Beautiful and Hollywood blockbuster X Men Origins: Wolverine.
As for her success in the fashion world, Tahyna was in good company.

Her sister Cheyenne also rose to fame as a model around the same time.
Both began modelling at a very young age, and appeared in high-profile campaigns and magazines throughout the 2000s.
Cheyenne was just 13 when she was on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar and was dubbed ”the next Elle Macpherson”.

Tahyna – now Tahyna McManus – has since starred in movies including Needle and The Ever After, and TV shows like CSI: NY and Charlie’s Angels.
Along with acting, Tahyna, 38, has moved into work behind the camera in producing and directing.
She even co-founded an all-women-led production company called Neon Jane Productions, which led to the launch of the Australian Women’s Film Festival.
In 2017, she began filming a documentary called Misunderstandings of Miscarriage.
The doco, released in 2020, was sparked by her own experience of pregnancy loss.
In 2024, she wrote, directed and starred in the short film Bread.

In her personal life, Tahyna has been married to dancer Tristan MacManus since 2014.
The couple, who share three children, celebrated their 10th anniversary last year.
Meanwhile Cheyenne, 36, has done everything from trying her hand at music and forming a band called Van Hoorn to being a mentor on Australia’s Next Top Model.
In recent years, she has immersed herself in charity work, becoming an ambassador for the not-for-profit organisation, For You Haiti.

The model is also a mum to daughter Dahlia de la Lune, who she welcomed in 2018 with Marlon Teixeira.
“My life changed from being all about me and doing what I want all the time, it was the perfect tine to have her join me on my little voyage,” she told 9honey Celebrity about her daughter’s birth.
