Reality TV stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt devastated as their house burns down in LA fires: ‘I just want to go home’

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have revealed their house went up in flames amid the devastating fires raging throughout Los Angeles.

The reality TV stars both documented the heart-wrenching experience on social media as fire engulfed areas of the US city on Tuesday (Wednesday AEDT).

“We ended up losing our house in the fire,” Montag confirmed in one of several heartbreaking video message updates she filmed from her car. 

The reality star said there were “no words” for it all, but confirmed they were safe.

In another TikTok video, the star broke down in tears over the loss of her family’s home.

“I’m so sad our house is gone. I wish I could have gone back and got more,” she said between sobs on camera.

“I really didn’t think it would be the last time we would be in our house,” she cried as her son Ryker sweetly wiped away her tears.

“I’m so sad for everyone else going through the same thing. It’s really hard losing your house and everything you worked so hard for.”

In a third video, Montag got emotional over the destruction, saying it “comes in waves” and admitted: “I just want to go home”.

“I just want to feel my stuff and sit on my couch.”

Montag said she was feeling “so homesick” as she broke down on camera. 

In a follow-up video, the star said she was “trying to focus on the gratitude”.

The star said she only packed two pairs of jeans and two shirts for herself, and clothes for the kids.

“Obviously the main thing is that we are safe and got out…”

As wind-driven wildfires in California forced more than 30,000 people to flee their homes on Tuesday, Pratt shared the view of the smoke and fire from the backyard of the house the couple shared with their two sons.

Montag shared a clip telling fans they were preparing to evacuate, while her husband captioned one clip of the blaze as “nightmare came true”.

On Instagram, Pratt said that his parents had lost their home in the fires, writing, “My parents house gone”.

He also shared a devastating photo of the nursery in his own home ablaze, confirming the house had “burned down”.

“The one positive sign I saw as our house burned down was ours son’s bed burned in the shape of a heart,” he captioned it.

Spencer Pratt has revealed his son's room burned down, with the flames being shaped like a heart.

In an Instagram story, Stephanie Pratt, Spencer’s sister, shared that her dad “tried to save my brother’s house but the wind is so strong there was nothing he could do.”

In echoing that sentiment, Montag confirmed, “Our house did burn down,” but said, “We’re out safe, and that is the most important thing.”

Currently, there are presently four fires burning, the Palisades fire West of Los Angeles, the Eaton fire north of Pasadena in the Altadena area, the Hurst fire in Sylmar, a San Fernando Valley community in northern Los Angeles and the Woodley fire in San Fernando Valley.

The Pacific Palisades inferno has torn through the celebrity enclave, home to various A-listers including Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Chris Pratt, Michael Keaton and Adam Sandler.
