On the way home from his court hearing, Thomas thanked his attorney, as well as the judge and prosecutor in the case. According to the former reality star, his punishment was fair.

“I’m thankful that they’re fair people. God blessed me with fair people. With that being said, the outcome, I am grateful, and I’ma remain grateful.”

Thomas pleaded guilty to failing to pay trust fund taxes for his businesses, including Club One CLT, Bar One Miami Beach, and others. Between 2017 and 2023, he reportedly withheld over $1.7 million from employees’ paychecks but failed to hand it over to the IRS. Instead, federal prosecutors accused him of using the money to fund his lavish lifestyle, including spending thousands at designer boutiques. As part of the case, Thomas must also serve two years of supervised release and pay restitution.

Thomas said that despite how social media is making the case appear much more severe than it is, the courts are allowing him to get some of his “business affairs” in order before turning himself in.

The 51-year-old previously spoke out before sentencing, taking responsibility for his actions and warning other business owners to be careful when it comes to taxes.
