Jamie Foxx was reportedly involved in a chaotic altercation with Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills on Friday night, leaving him injured.
According to TMZ, who spoke with law enforcement sources, officers were called to the upscale eatery around 10:00 p.m. following reports of a fight. However, the “Ray” actor had already left the scene by the time police arrived.
A spokesperson for Foxx confirmed to the outlet that the actor was struck in the mouth by a glass thrown from another table during his birthday dinner, requiring stitches. Foxx is now recovering, and the incident is under investigation by authorities. An assault report lists him as a party involved, and police intend to follow up.
Witnesses at the scene also suggested Foxx may have sustained injuries but opted not to stay for medical attention. Earlier that evening, the Oscar-winning star was seen entering the restaurant with his daughters, Corinne and Anelise, and his former partner, Kristin Grannis, celebrating with family.
Foxx’s presence at Mr. Chow earlier this week for another occasion was documented, as he marked the release of his Netflix special with a cheerful appearance. This marks another dramatic moment in Foxx’s year, following his 2023 health scare, which he revealed during his special was actually a brain bleed and stroke.
