South Korean TV weather presenter Oh Yo Anna has died aged 28, with the news revealed months after she shared she was in hospital for broken teeth and facial fractures.
According to South Korean news outlet Sports World, the TV star’s family had quietly bid farewell to her after her death in September, reporting it now after taking a period of time to mourn, as per outlet Kdrama Stars.
Her cause of death has not been revealed.

The former beauty queen had reportedly shared a medical certificate from a hospital visit in September on her Instagram account, where it had been written that she had broken some of her teeth and suffered facial fractures.
Oh had additionally told her fans she would not be able to broadcast the weather for a while due to the injuries, causing an outpour of concern from them.
“How are you? [You haven’t] been on the forecast for a long time since [you’ve been] treated, and I can’t even find out what’s going on, so I’m leaving a comment like this.. 😢 I want to see your cheerful self again, Anna Caster ~ Please come back soon,” said one fan a few weeks ago.

The 28-year-old’s last post on Instagram, an image of her running as promotion for a headphone brand, has been flooded with comments from fans who expressed shock at her death.
“What is going on? Haven’t you been doing well? Why didn’t I meet [you] more often and look in more? I’m so angry at me… I thought [you were] doing fine as usual.. I wonder what is going on… I will pray and pray for my Anna…” one wrote after hearing the news.
“Anna, I’m shocked after reading the article. What’s going on? It’s ridiculous. Hope [you] go to a good place and laugh more there,” another added.

The TV presenter first began her career after winning the Hermoso Beauty Award at the 13th JYP open audition in 2017, and had won first prize at the Spring Fragrance Selection Competition in 2019.
She began working at public broadcaster MBC in 2021 as a weather presenter and appeared on popular TV program You Quiz on the Block due to her popularity in 2022.
After her You Quiz appearance she had taken to Instagram to share her thoughts. “It was an incredibly honorable moment to introduce the profession of a weathercaster. It is an even more precious memory because of my shortcomings. I am really grateful to the production team and senior colleagues,” she wrote.
