British actress and Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian marked a milestone in her breast cancer treatment this week.
She recently revealed she’d been diagnosed with stage-two breast cancer after finding a lump while breastfeeding.
Bastian said she recently rang a bell to mark five months of chemotherapy.

The star also shared an empowering message to her followers who might be going through cancer treatment themselves, telling them: “You are not alone.”
Underneath a short reel of herself sharing a kiss with her husband and ringing a bell, she wrote: “I got to ring (the tiny little bell I stole from my kid’s music box as they don’t do the 🔔 thing here in Ireland) after five months of chemotherapy.”
“I’m still halfway through this last cycle, so much still to process on every level. Chemo is major.”

She went on to praise the medical team who have been looking after her and added: “For anyone going through this, you think the end will never come and then through the fog… the goal posts appear.”
“You are not alone. Thank you all so, so much. I read every kind word of support and it honestly gets me through xxxxxxx ♥️♥️♥️♥️”

“Sending so much love,” one follower wrote underneath the post.
Two weeks ago, Bastian suffered a medical emergency amid her cancer battle.
She recently cut her hair amid her treatment in preparation for any hair loss.
“Hair loss is just one aspect of all of this that we all wish wasn’t a side effect but I know it’s not forever and a small price to pay for the chance to be well again,” she said.
“The deeper I get into my treatment, the more I see this as an outward expression of how stripped back and raw it feels right now.”
Just three months ago, Bastian revealed her breast cancer diagnosis, after finding a lump while breastfeeding.
The former Hollyoaks star, 42, revealed she initially thought she had mastitis, the swelling of breast tissue, before eventually receiving a diagnosis.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, she said: “It was a total shock.”
“I have mornings when I wake up and I’ve forgotten… and then suddenly I remember. I’m still trying to process it.”
The star revealed she is undergoing chemotherapy and will have a mastectomy and radiotherapy.
The mother of two added she’s keeping positive and hopes to return to acting once she’s given the all-clear, saying: “I will get through this and come out the other side.”
Bastian, who is known for The Bill, Doctors and Strictly Come Dancing, is married to actor and producer David O’Mahony.
