The Later Daters is basically a gentle, mellow version of  The Golden Bachelor or The Golden Bachelorette. If you want to dip your toe into reality TV dating shows but aren’t sure you’re in for the drama, this might just be the thing to try out. In the show, six baby boomers are assisted by a dating coach, Logan Ury, as they try their hand at dating once again. And for these singles looking for love late in life—some for the second time, some for the third, and some for the fourth—it’s not just about finding sparks, it’s about finding someone that fits into their lives.

So many of the reality shows today operate on an unrealistic timeline. But The Later Daters isn’t about hurrying down the altar or going off on the kind of exotic dates no one will be able to recreate later, it’s about finding real companionship. And like in real life, some of the contestants found it, and some didn’t.

They all embarked on some blind dates, and some dates went well enough that they decided to start relationships. Some of those relationships worked out—others fizzled out. However, the show had some successes, and one of those couples was Anise and Willie, who were ironically paired together by Anise’s daughter, Dwayna after her mother had gone on a string of unsuccessful dates that left producers asking for help picking her next suitor.

The two did start dating during the show, so the question now is, are The Later Daters’ Anise and Willie still together? Here’s what we know.

Are The Later Daters‘ Anise and Willie still together?

Though there’s been no definitive confirmation, it seems like the answer is yes. The 63-year-old marketing executive and mother of 3 and the 55-year-old Government K-9 Specialist and father of 5 reportedly dated for at least a couple of months after filming wrapped. And part of the reason the two worked so well wasn’t just that they had great chemistry from the start—though they did, while sparks weren’t flying for Anise with any of her other dates, they clearly were with Willie—but because they seemed ready and willing to be honest about what they wanted from the get-go.

Anise doesn’t seem to be the kind to share too much on social media—her few posts since the show came out seem the kind that are geared to promoting the show, but just as with Suzanne and Avery, there seems to be an actual attempt to keep her relationship status with Willie a mystery, at least for now. It could be that she and Willie broke up, of course, and they want to keep that a mystery for now so people enjoy the show more.

But since both couples are doing the exact same thing, it could also be that Netflix has told both to keep the relationship status under wraps for a little bit longer. At least, until people have had time to binge-watch the show. And then, well …all bets are off.
