Move over Daniel Radcliffe, there’s a new ‘boy who lived’!
Fans have been offered an exciting first look at the new HBO Original Harry Potter television series, with young actor Dominic McLaughlin seen for the first time in character as Harry Potter.
In thrilling news for fans, production on the upcoming series, due to come out in 2027, has just started at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, in the UK.

Warner Bros Studios Leavesden is where the original films starring Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint were made.
Other popular characters who have been cast include Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom.
In the image, McLaughlin is seen in a Gryffindor Hogwarts uniform with Potter’s iconic round glasses and of course, a faint scar.

Joining McLaughlin in the new series, playing the iconic trio Harry, Ron and Hermione, are Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton.
”The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen,” executive producer Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod previously said in a statement.

It comes just week after Harry Potter film star Tom Felton, who portrayed villain Draco Malfoy in the iconic franchise, announced he is reprising his role.
However, he is not set to return to the series, but rather, will be thrilling fans in the stage production: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
“Guess who’s back,” Felton wrote in a post as he shared the news with eager fans.
The upcoming TV series is set to air on HBO Max.
