Tom Brady is here to set the record straight.
The former NFL star has spoken out against rumours he claimed Sofia Vergara was “too old” to date him.
Representatives for Brady shared a statement with People, finally laying the vicious claim to rest.

“Tom never said, nor would he ever say, anything like this. It is pure fiction,” his rep told the publication.
The rumour was sparked after the duo were reportedly seen getting cozy on the Ritz Carlton’s new superyacht, Luminara, earlier this month.
According to reports from Page Six, Brady had asked to switch seats to be seated next to Vergara, with pictures of the pair sat beside one another at a table surfacing online soon after.

According to the publication, the pair then continued their holiday by heading to Ibiza, Spain, with an “insider” describing their relationship as a “summer romance”.
TMZ later reported that although the pair had been enjoying their time in Europe together, they are not a couple.
Things then began to get messy when an article published by the Daily Mail claimed a source had told them Brady was “keen to stay single” and could only handle Vergara “in small doses”.
”[Brady] is always weighing his options when it comes to dating anyone. ‘Options’ being the operative word,” the source allegedly told the publication.

“He’s not looking to be settled down right now. He wants to just have fun. Flings and hookups are cool, but if anyone thinks they can have more with him right now, good luck!”
The Daily Mail also claimed the source said although Vergara is “beautiful” and Brady’s “type”, he wouldn’t consider a relationship because “she is older and stuck in her ways”.
The brutal comments were never verified by Brady’s nor Vergara’s representatives, with Brady’s team now claiming he never made any such remarks.
