Katy Perry has broken down in tears at the end of her final Adelaide show, thanking her Aussie fans for always being there for her.

Perry was closing out her final Australian show of the The Lifetimes Tour when she made a heart gesture with her hands and addressed the audience, saying “Thank you Australia for always being there for me”.

Last night’s emotional show comes as Orlando Bloom broke his silence with a number of cryptic posts overnight following multiple media reports the couple had split.

Katy Perry was in tears as she bid farewell to her tour

It was not the first time Perry was moved to tears during her Adelaide shows.

The previous night, the star was overcome with emotion after she plucked a young girl named Erin from the audience and read a sign she was holding which said her mother had died last year.

After asking her mother’s name, Perry looked up to the sky and said, “Hi Stacey, we got her” before embracing the girl.

“I love you and you’re going to be great,” Perry told Erin.

“Your mum is always watching over you because your mum, all mums, as we all know, we all love our children. They mean the world to us,” she said, in reference to her own daughter with Bloom, four-year-old Daisy Dove.

Meanwhile, Bloom overnight shared a series of cryptic posts to his Instagram Story.

The first was a quote attributed to Buddha which said, “Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.”

The second was attributed to Japanese author Daisaku Ikeda and read, “The important thing is to take that first step.

“Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next.”

It marked the first time either had commented on split rumours since Us Weekly first reported six days ago the two had split after nine years together, and quoted a source close to the couple.

In the days after the news, Bloom travelled to South Australia, where Perry was performing the final leg of her Australian tour.

But instead of putting on a united front, they seemed to confirm the rumours by only posting separate photographs of themselves.

Bloom also shared some snippets of their daughter Daisy.

From there, Bloom flew to Venice, Italy, where he attended the nuptials of billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren Sánchez.

Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callaghan told Nine’s Today Extra last week that Perry’s camp was suspicious Bloom was behind leaking news of their split ahead of the wedding so he could be a “single man”.

She also believed his attendance at the wedding was a slap in the face for Perry after they were involved in a “huge blowout” argument that ended with Bloom telling Perry her recent flight into space was “cringeworthy”.

Perry’s space flight was put together by Bezos’s space exploration company Blue Horizon and saw Sánchez join her on the expedition.

He was seen living it up at the three-day extravaganza, where he was seen chatting to the likes of Kim Kardashian.
