There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Katy Perrygranted a young fan’s wish in an emotional moment onstage in Australia.
A young girl named Erin stood in the crowd holding up a hopeful sign to the singer, 40, during her Lifetimes Tour show in Perth.
“My mum passed away last year and it would mean the world to me to meet you,” the colourful handwritten sign read.

Perry invited Erin on-stage who was immediately moved to tears.
The singer then appeared to choke back tears herself as she read Erin’s sign to the crowd.

The crowd gushed and cheered as the pair shared a heartfelt hug.
Erin told Perry that her mum’s name was Stacey after which Perry looked to the sky and said, “Hi Stacey, we got her”.

The pair then took a selfie together and Perry gave her a KP shaker as a memento from the on-stage meeting as the crowd cheered on.
“I love you, and you’re going to be great,” Perry told Erin as she helped her back to her place in the audience.
“Your mum is always watching over you because your mum, all mums, as we all know, we all love our children. They mean the world to us.”

Perry then took a brief moment to recover from the emotional encounter before continuing the show.
The adorable moment came during the Australian leg of the popstar’s Lifetimes Tour, which Perry re-shared on her Instagram page on Sunday evening.
She has taken to the stage for shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide with her final Aussie show tonight in Adelaide.
She will soon be leaving Australia to continue her tour with shows in the US and Canada.

During her time in Australia, multiple US outlets have reported on a split between Perry and her longtime partner Orlando Bloom.
The singer and actor, 48, are said to be “amicable” and focused on co-parenting their daughter Daisy, four.

The couple have been together for almost 10 years, six of those as an engaged couple but they never tied the knot.
They welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove in 2020.
While Perry is in Australia, Bloom was pictured attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’ wedding in Venice over the weekend.
