Chris Hemsworth is one proud dad!
You might assume that having a Hollywood heavyweight for a parent would make them hard to impress, but it seems that Hemsworth is raising his kids like any other regular Aussie family.
The Marvel star shares three children – India Rose, 13, and twin boys Sasha and Tristan, 11 – with wife Elsa Pataky, and one of them has just hit a major Aussie milestone.

On Monday evening, Hemsworth took to Instagram to share the news that his son, Sasha, had just won his first major surf comp.
“So happy for my boy winning his first board riders comp,” Hemsworth wrote, including a shoutout to Byron Bay Boardriders.
The Mad Max star shared a video of Sasha being carried out of the water on his competitors shoulders as he grinned with excitement and voices behind the camera were heard cheering him on.

In another photo Hemsworth was pictured rugged up in his winter gear with his hand on Sasha’s shoulder whilst the young sports star carried his board wearing a fluorescent green rashie.
Finally, he also included an image of Pataky with her arms wrapped around her son as Hemsworth stands beside them, both beaming with pride over their son’s achievement.
The comments section was filled of messages of support from Hemsworth’s followers, including famous Aussies such as Bec Judd and several pro surfers.
“That’s epic! Congrats!” Wrote Red Bull athlete, Kai Lenny.
“Congratulations legend! See you at pipeline soon 🙌🔥,” added American pro surfer, Jamie O’Brien.
Both Hemsworth and Pataky have been open on several occasions about their intentions of giving their children as normal an upbringing as possible.
“I grew up with very little money, but my parents were my absolute heroes,” Hemsworth told People in a 2017 interview.
“They were respectful, kind human beings and operated in a way that was constantly inspiring and nurturing and kind.”

He added that all though he and Pataky are “in a different position financially”, these are still the values he wants to instill in his own children.
“I want to make sure they know these things don’t come easy,” he said.
“You have to work for it, and you can’t take it for granted.”
