A myriad of stars have gathered at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California to celebrate Black excellence at the BET Awards.
The awards ceremony, hosted on the Black Entertainment Television network, is now in it’s 25th year.
It celebrates the achievements of Black entertainers and other minorities in various fields such as music, film, sports and philanthropy.

Celebrities showed up and out in their gorgeous ensembles.
Skyh Black and KJ Smith led the pack with a huge announcement: they’re pregnant!
Smith draped her baby bump in a stunning green gown with cut outs, with the actress looking lovingly down at her husband of two years, fellow actor Skyh Black, on the red carpet as they begin a new journey together.
Also looking glamourous was actress Keke Palmer, who posed playfully in a minidress.
Sporting short and straight copper locks and a black sequined dress with a train, the One Of Those Days actress laughed it up at the event.
Music legend Snoop Dogg was also present, wearing a blue suit and matching shades as he greeted his peers.

One of them was blossoming rapper Doechii, with the pair spending a moment on the red carpet between an “OG and a rising star”, as per BET’s Instagram page.
The Grammy award winner wore a red tube top and skirt set from Miu Miu with floral sandals as she was led down the red carpet by her team.
Later in the night she won the title of Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.

Singer Ciara rocked an all-black outfit, with a pleather shirt and feathery skirt with a train. She accesorised with mixed metals and made it casual with a baseball cap.
Rapper 2Chainz made the event a family affair, bringing along his wife Kesha Ward and older daughters Heaven and Harmony Epps. Their youngest, a nine-year-old son named Halo, appeared to have stayed home.
The family seemed to match in black and white, with the rapper adding a splash of khaki with his cardigan.

MGK (formerly Machine Gun Kelly) went the opposite way, choosing a butter yellow shirt to support his fellow artists at the awards.
Actress-turned talk show host Jennifer Hudson wore an elegant ensemble to the awards. She chose a black gown with a square neckline, adding a sparkly jewellery set to the empty space on her neck and ears as she pulled back her hair in a tight ponytail.
Meanwhile, former Disney star Skai Jackson wore an interesting grey dress, featuring a mesh skirt and halter top as well as a studded corset.
The mum-of-one topped off the look with silver smokey eyes and a slicked back hairstyle.
