Blake Lively emerges at star-studded event hours after judge dismissed Justin Baldoni lawsuit

Blake Lively is putting the It Ends With Us legal battle behind her.

Lively has stepped out in public hours after her former co-star and director Justin Baldoni’s defamation lawsuit against her was dismissed.

The actress joined a plethora of stars out in New York for the annual Chanel Tribeca Artists Dinner, hosted by luxury designer Chanel, on June 9.

Lively arrived solo for the event – part of the Tribeca Film Festival – wearing a white lace dress with a denim jacket stylishly slung over her shoulders. 

She paired her look with a statement Chanel purse and subtle glam.

The event had a very star-studded guest list, with attendees including Hollywood stars like Lucy Liu and Jon Hamm, singers Lily Allen and Joe Jonas, and Australia’s very own, actress Odessa Young.

Lively’s appearance comes the same day a US judge dismissed the $US400 million ($613 million) defamation lawsuit her It Ends With Us co-star filed against her and her husband Ryan Reynolds.

The actress shared a statement following the news to her own social media.

”Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us,” she wrote to her Instagram Stories.

“While the suit against me was defeated, so many don’t have the resources to fight back.”

Lively said she was “more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story.”

Lively starred in the 2024 film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s wildly popular book, It Ends With Us, which was directed by and co-stared Baldoni. 

The legal battle began in December 2024 when Lively filed a civil complaint, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment.

The actress then formally filed a lawsuit against Baldoni. Lively accused the actor of orchestrating a smear campaign against her.

Baldoni sued the The New York Times for libel and filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively and Reynolds.
