Kyle Sandilands had been teasing a massive career announcement since Friday, and now he’s finally confirmed his next big project live on-air.
The radio star, 53, requested that fans phone in to guess his big news on Monday’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show, and after several incorrect responses – including that he might be expecting another baby – one fan got it right.
“Yep, I’m going to be in a movie!” Sandilands told the nation.

Sandilands revealed he would be playing a cameo of himself in an upcoming horror flick, first revealing the bevy of celebrities he was going to star alongside.
“Chuck Norris in his final ever film. Sir Bob Geldof, Vanilla Ice, Sophie Monk, Bryan Austen Green, Cody Simpson, Amy Shark…” he reeled off, before finally revealing the movie’s name.
“Prepare yourself – it’s Zombie Plane,” he said.
“That’s right! A Sydney to LA a flight is taken over by zombies, and an eclectic group of high profile passengers led by celebrities turned secret agents must band together to save humanity.

His co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson was clearly thrilled by the news, and couldn’t wait to ask him about his character.
“I’m playing myself, a very rich man on a superyacht,” he responded with pride.
“Listen… I’m just doing what rich people do. Then a big submarine pops up beside me and out pops [American rapper] Ice-T, who is in charge of the submarine. I don’t think I have a lot of dialogue.”

Sandilands confirmed he’s flying out today to the Gold Coast to shoot the movie.
He said he’d still be doing the radio show from the hotel, before heading off to the film set.
“Apparently I’ve got my own little caravan,” he said. “I wouldn’t think Zombie Plane would have a big budget, but it’s got quite the budget.”
He laughed as he concluded: “I don’t even want to be an actor. I don’t even know why I said yes.”
Love Island Australia host Sophie Monk previously spoke to Today about her role in the upcoming movie, which as of yet has no release date.

“I play myself, but I have to act a bit like how I’d act if a zombie was there,” she said.
“It’s more like method acting, I’ve been method acting my whole life – if there was a real zombie outbreak I’d die straight away, but in this I’m a little more, I fight back.”
