Sabrina Carpenter has taken a cheeky subtle dig at her ex-boyfriend, Irish actor Barry Keoghan, during a concert in Dublin.
The recent BRIT Award winner took to the stage in the Oscar nominee’s hometown on Tuesday night (Wednesday AEDT) as part of her Short n’ Sweet world tour.
“Dublin, it’s so lovely to be here,” the 25-year-old singer said.

“You all look and sound amazing. But my goodness, these Irish boys are hard work.”
The apparent swipe at her 32-year-old ex prompted a knowing laugh from the crowd.
Taking to social media after the show, the Espresso singer shared a backstage photo holding a mug with a message of appreciation to the Irish audiences across two nights of her tour.
Keoghan and Carpenter were first linked in 2023 before confirming their long-speculated romance in March 2024 at an Oscars after party.

While they never walked a red carpet together, they were photographed at the top of the stairs together at the Met Gala in May, having walked the carpet separately.
Keoghan starred in the music video for Carpenter’s hit Please Please Please, which is widely believed to be a song about him.
Differing schedules and pursuing work opportunities were the suggested reason behind the couple “taking a break”.
But just weeks before the split was confirmed in December, Keoghan hit back at claims he had cheated with a Carpenter lookalike, Breckie Hill, who also denied an affair.
He slammed the ”absolute lies” in a message on X, previously known as Twitter, after deactivating his Instagram account due to “messages I have received”.
Keoghan pleaded for trolls to stop, especially for the sake of his two-year-old son Brando, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Alyson Kierans.
“I can only sit and take so much,” he wrote.
“My name has been dragged across the internet in ways I usually don’t respond too. I have to respond now because it’s gettin to a place where there are too many lines being crossed.
“I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work.
“The messages I have received no person should ever have to read them. Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine.
“Dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for.
“Talking about how I was a heroine [sic] baby and how I grew up and dragging my dear mother into it also. Knocking on my grannies door. Sitting outside my baby boys house intimidating them. That’s crossing a line.

“Each and every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy. I want to provide opportunities for him to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to have full trust in me and know I will have his back no matter what.
“I need you to remember he has to read ALL of this about his father when he is older. Please be respectful to all. Thank u x”.
