Aussie pop princess Natalie Imbruglia has made a huge career announcement overnight.
Imbruglia, who shot to fame in the 1990s when she appeared on the Aussie soap Neighbours before embarking on a singing career, took to Instagram to announce she will support Scottish band Texas at a performance in England later this year.
The singer wrote, “So thrilled to be supporting @texastheband at @colchestercastlesummerseries on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Tickets on sale now. Link in bio!”

Imbruglia, 50, shot to worldwide fame with the release of a cover of her 1997 song Torn, which topped the US charts for 11 weeks and was named one of the songs of the decade by Rolling Stone.
Her debut album, Left of the Middle, went on to sell seven million copies.
She dated Friends star David Schwimmer before falling for Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns, whom she married in 2003 and divorced five years later.
In 2019, Imbruglia announced she was pregnant with a child conceived using IVF and donor sperm, but she has kept him out of the spotlight.

She has enjoyed somewhat of a career resurgence in recent years.
In 2021, she released her sixth studio album, Firebird, which came six years after her previous offering.
The following year, she was crowned the winner of the third series of the British version of The Masked Singer.
Her version of the One Direction hit Story of My Life went to number 49 in the UK charts, reigniting sales of Firebird.

That year she returned to her roots to reprise the role of Beth in the final episode of Neighbours, then in 2024 she embarked on a tour of the UK and Ireland with the Irish band The Corrs, having previously supported the band during its 2023 tour of Australia.
As well as the newly announced gig with Texas, Imbruglia has a number of other shows planned for the UK in coming months.
Imbruglia turned 50 on February 4 and shared pictures of the big day on Instagram.
“It’s been a magical week celebrating turning 50 years old!” she wrote.
“To all my friends and family who went above and beyond to make me feel special this week, THANK YOU!! I’ve never felt more loved and appreciated!! 50 feels great!”
She took to Instagram again last week to share images of a birthday trip to Rome, Italy.
“What a treat it was to visit Rome the year I turn 50 and connect with my roots,” she wrote.
“Here are some snaps from our visit… including a private tour of the Vatican Library and dinner with la familia…
“I’m so proud of my Italian heritage. It’s where my fire and passion comes from… a big part of my creativity!” she ended the post.
