Kathy Griffin and ex-husband Randy Bick finalise their divorce

Jan 14, 2025

Kathy Griffin and her ex-husband, Randy Bick, have finalised their divorce just over a year after filing.

According to court documents obtained by USA Today, Griffin and Bick officially divorced in Los Angeles County Superior Court after three years of marriage.

The news outlet reports that the divorce proceedings were uncontested, meaning the pair entered into a “written agreement regarding their property and their marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support.”

The 63-year-old comedian filed for divorce from Bick just days before their fourth wedding anniversary.

Per the court documents, Griffin requested that the spousal support for both parties be terminated and that she asked for the court to “enforce premarital agreement dated 12/23/2019.”

When filing, the comedian took to Instagram to react to the news, writing simply: “Well… s–t. This sucks.”

Kathy Griffin and Randy Bick attended Paris Hilton's Christmas party earlier this month.

The couple has been together since 2011 but tied the knot on New Year’s Day in 2020.

The pair first met at a food and wine festival. “I didn’t think it would last [because] he’s 18 years younger than I am!” Griffin joked in 2016.

However, her assumptions were quickly proven wrong, with the comedian saying she soon found him “very sweet and very mellow.”

“He’s like a regular guy, you know, he’s like a real guy,” she previously told People.

“He’s not like a Hollywood guy.”

For the couple’s wedding day in 2020, Griffin wore the same dress she had worn on their first date. Actress Lily Tomlin officiated the ceremony.

“What was supposed to be a shallow, ‘toot it and boot it’ one-night stand has grown and flourished into something far more meaningful,” said the Grace and Frankie star, 84, as she began the ceremony.

At the time, Griffin told People: “Randy and I are doing sort of toy rings for the ceremony because neither one of us like wearing rings ever. So we will never wear rings. Deal with it.”
