Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly reached a settlement in their highly-publicised divorce.
Jolie’s lawyer confirmed the news in a statement to People, saying that the actress is “exhausted” and “relieved,” after she first filed for divorce from the Troy star back in 2016.
“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt.

“She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,” her lawyer James Simon, said.
“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
In 2019, the Hollywood stars were declared legally single, People reports.
They had been involved in a dispute regarding Jolie’s sale of her stake in Château Miravel, a French winery they owned.

It comes after the Tomb Raider star reportedly accused Pitt of trying to get her to sign an NDA related to allegations of abuse.
The A-list pair share children Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 16.

Jolie previously touched on her split from Pitt a year ago, admitting she “had a lot of healing to do” in the years following.
The star spoke candidly about her new life as a single working mother to Vogue, as she celebrated the release of her new fashion line, Atelier Jolie.
“We had a lot of healing to do. We’re still finding our footing,” she said.
Hinting at her split, she added: “I feel a bit down these days. I don’t feel like I’ve been myself for a decade, in a way, which I don’t want to get into.”
Jolie added that being a mother has kept her going in her darkest of days.
“I think, recently, I would’ve gone under in a much darker way had I not wanted to live for them. They’re better than me, because you want your children to be,” she said.
Pitt and Jolie married in 2014, but filed for divorce two years later in 2016 after 11 years together.
Jolie previously alleged her ex-husband was physically abusive towards her and two of their six children on a flight in 2016 in a legal filing. Pitt has denied any abuse.
The fight between Jolie and Pitt on their private flight in 2016 has was said to be the catalyst for the dissolution of their marriage.
Opening up about his divorce and heartbreak, Pitt previously told GQ: “I think all our hearts are broken.”
“I always felt very alone in my life, alone growing up as a kid, alone even out here, and it’s really not till recently that I have had a greater embrace of my friends and family.”
