- Sui integrates CCTP, enabling seamless USDC transfers across 10 blockchain networks.
- CCTP’s burn-and-mint mechanism ensures stable, efficient USDC cross-chain transfers.
- New ecosystem integrations, like Wormhole, enhance cross-chain transfer capabilities.
Sui Network has implemented Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), an upgrade that enhances the USDC stablecoin’s interoperability across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
This partnership will enable users to transfer USDC between Sui and nine other blockchain networks, streamlining cross-chain transactions. The development supports a growing trend in decentralized finance (DeFi) toward more seamless and efficient cross-chain transfers without needing third-party liquidity providers.

With the integration of CCTP, Sui users can now transfer USDC between various blockchain networks. The protocol supports Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Noble, OP Mainnet, Polygon PoS, and Solana in addition to Sui.
The key innovation behind CCTP is the burn-and-mint mechanism, which ensures that the value of USDC remains pegged to the U.S. dollar. When a user sends USDC across chains, the original USDC is burned on the source chain, and a new, native USDC is minted on the destination chain.
Seamless Transfers, Low Fees, and High Capital Efficiency
The integration of CCTP with Sui Network facilitates frictionless USDC transfers across multiple platforms. Transaction fees for sending and receiving chains are minimized, ensuring low-cost transfers while maintaining high capital efficiency.
The adoption of CCTP also increases the use cases for USDC, benefiting developers, exchanges, and eCommerce platforms. Developers can now enable cross-chain onboarding for their applications, while users can withdraw USDC from various exchanges or make payments on eCommerce platforms without worrying about blockchain compatibility.
Wormhole and Ecosystem Integrations Enhance Cross-Chain Capabilities
To further enhance the usability of the CCTP integration, Sui Network utilizes Wormhole’s Connect feature, an embeddable widget that facilitates seamless cross-chain transfers.
Additionally, platforms like Portal, Router, Interport, and Wanchain are integrating CCTP into their services, boosting the efficiency and security of USDC transfers. The expanding adoption of CCTP and new integrations further solidifies its role in enabling efficient and secure cross-chain transfers for developers and users. With 72 unique routes now available for USDC transfers, Sui Network’s adoption of CCTP marks an important milestone in the evolution of cross-chain interoperability.
