The Real Housewives of New Jersey franchise has left fans in suspense after its season 14 finale. While many are eagerly waiting for news about the show’s future, stars Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler are still in the dark. Speaking exclusively to In Touch during an appearance at the iHeartRadio Z100 Jingle Ball 2024, both women shared their thoughts on the hiatus and what’s next.
“We know nothing,” Jackie Goldschneider, 48, said with a laugh, acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding the show’s future. Despite the lack of updates, Jennifer, 56, remains open to returning. “Of course, I would be willing to go back,” she shared. The two are currently keeping busy with their Two Jersey Js podcast, which they hope to grow as much as possible in the coming year. “We want to have some great guests and some really fun podcasts in the new year,” Jackie added, highlighting their excitement for what’s to come.
While podcasting has kept them occupied, both women are exploring new opportunities. Jennifer revealed she’s been working with Page Six on a segment called “Housewife Hot Takes,” which she described as “really fun.” Jackie, a former lawyer, echoed similar sentiments about staying active in their careers. “We’re both … we’re busy, which is nice. So we’re not missing it too much,” Jennifer said.
However, despite their hectic schedules, the uncertainty surrounding RHONJ remains a lingering concern for the duo. Jackie confessed, “The break has been nice, but I’m ready to know what’s going on. Yeah. You know, it’s just so I could either get excited or have closure. Either way. I’m fine. I just want to know.” Their desire for clarity comes after the season 14 finale in August, which featured a unique reunion special amidst growing tensions within the cast.
Season 14 ended with the cast members, including Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda, participating in a reunion special that differed from the traditional format. Reports suggested that the show would be on hiatus for several months while producers navigated the ongoing feud between Teresa and Melissa, which had split the cast into opposing sides.
With no filming expected until 2025, speculation about the show’s future has grown. Andy Cohen even hinted at a possible reboot in July, saying, “We’re gonna reboot it. We’re gonna do something different,” before clarifying a few days later that he was simply “riffing.” “I was just like, ‘Yeah, we’re rebooting … Who knows? Maybe it’ll be all fresh faces,’” he added, leaving fans to wonder whether RHONJ will undergo a significant transformation.
Amidst the tension, Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer have stayed in touch with their co-stars, despite the division between Team Melissa and Team Teresa. Jackie explained, “So [Jennifer’s] close with Margaret and Dolores. I’m very close with Teresa. And I talk to Jennifer, and so the opposite sides we’ve had between the two of us, we got it all covered.” However, Jackie did admit that she doesn’t even ask how Team Melissa is doing, saying, “I don’t even want to know.”
Despite the cast’s divided loyalties, Jennifer and Jackie emphasized that their goal is to maintain peace and positivity. “I want everyone … I want good for everybody. Yeah. I don’t wish bad for anybody. I just wanna spend time with the people who I enjoy,” Jackie concluded.
As the uncertainty around RHONJ continues, both Jennifer and Jackie remain focused on their personal projects and the hope that a return to the show will come with clarity and, hopefully, a resolution to the drama that has gripped the series. For now, they’re taking it one step at a time, continuing to grow their podcast, and waiting for what comes next.
