Jay-Z has swiftly fired back over claims that he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl back in 2000 with Diddy.

In a statement issued via his Roc Nation social media platform, Hov shot down the allegations, accusing the lawyer overseeing the case of trying to blackmail him.

“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect. It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY,” part of the statement read.

The lawsuit was initially filed in October, accusing Diddy of rape. However, on Sunday, it was refiled to include Jay. The accuser claims that at 13, she was dropped off at the MTV Video Music Awards location in New York. Without a ticket, she eventually met a limousine driver who claimed they could take her to Diddy, which happened later that evening. After being shuttled to a home for a VMA afterparty, the victim claims she signed an NDA. Upon entering, she claims to have observed celebrities doing drugs before being given a drink that made her feel lightheaded. While resting in a room, the accuser claims Diddy entered along with Jay, and the assault began. Afterward, the girl allegedly fled and called her father.

Buzbee was previously sued in November for extortion by a “high-profile” celebrity, who claimed the attorney tried to force them to pay a hefty sum to resolve false allegations. However, Hov says he is prepared to take on Buzbee to clear his name in this particular case.

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,” he wrote, later adding, “I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn. We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honor.”
