Angelina Jolie has made her first talk show appearance in more than a decade – barefoot, to boot.
The actress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, with the host quick to notice her unexpected style move.
“I noticed that you’re barefoot. Did you forget your shoes?” Fallon asked.
Laughing, Jolie explained there was a practical reason for the decision.

“No, I broke my toe yesterday, and I tried to find a comfortable shoe, but I just decided to not,” she said.
“You don’t have to wear shoes, just be comfortable. We’re just happy you’re here!” Fallon replied.
The broken toe comes at an unfortunate time, with Jolie busy on the press trail for her latest movie, Maria.
The star added that she hadn’t been on a talk show like Fallon’s “for, like, a decade”, admitting she found them “very uncomfortable”.

“By the way, I get very nervous on talk shows … This is so not my thing,” she said.
The actress also spoke about her six children, whom she shares with estranged husband Brad Pitt, and their desire to carve out careers away from the spotlight.
“I think some of them [want to work] off camera but they really, really would really like to be private,” she said.
“Just private, not photographed.
“It wasn’t their choice, right? Some people are more comfortable with [the] public, some people are more comfortable on talk shows, and some people are not.”
Jolie added that of her children, eldest daughter Shiloh is the one who “most of all would like privacy.”
Earlier this year, Shiloh officially dropped “Pitt” from her last name.
In August, the 18-year-old was ”granted” her legal request to go by Shiloh Jolie.
