It seems like Keke Palmer’s ex, Darius Jackson, has once again landed himself in hot water with the internet, this time for an eyebrow-raising confession about his son.

The drama unfolded after Darius shared a now-deleted Instagram Story on Thursday, admitting he “barely knew” his son Leodis’ date of birth.

“Took Leodis to his doctor’s appointment back in September & barely knew his date of birth..His mom was on speed dial & the nanny also helped answer the other questions but we got it done! Which is all that matters,” Darius wrote, seemingly unfazed by the chaos he was about to unleash.

The internet wasted no time dragging the 31-year-old for what many saw as a lack of preparedness as a parent.

“Keke Palmer’s baby daddy is a clown. And I hate that so bad for her,” one user wrote, summing up the general sentiment.

Others questioned why Darius thought this was a story worth sharing publicly, with some advising him to keep such moments between close friends or family.

The parenting faux pas followed what should have been a celebratory moment for Darius. Just days earlier, on Nov. 27, he graduated from Army training, sharing his milestone with an Instagram post declaring he’s “ready to do God’s work.”

In a touching moment, 1-year-old Leodis’ Instagram account—yes, Baby Leo has his own account—posted a sweet tribute to his dad’s accomplishment.

“Today my Daddy became a soldier!! Wow I was so in awe to see him after so long. All I could do was wrestle him and hug him, so thankful for all he’s doing for me. He taught me how to march and he’s teaching me how to follow through. I can either be a performer or a military man or both, but no matter the profession, I will be a person of service because my parents and grandparents won’t have it any other way,” the caption read.

Despite their rocky history, Keke and Darius appeared to set their differences aside for the celebration.

During a recent interview promoting her memoir, Master of Me, Keke spoke warmly about Darius, expressing pride in his growth.

She said, “I’m so proud of him and happy for him. I feel very at ease now knowing things are under control.”
