As the holiday season approaches, Halle Bailey is excitedly gearing up for a very special celebration—her son Halo’s “first official Christmas.” The actress and singer, known for her role as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, recently shared her plans for this magical time of year with her little one.
The 24-year-old mother appeared on Today with Hoda & Jenna alongside her sister, Chloe, promoting roles as Pandora global ambassadors. As they discussed their partnership with the jewelry line, Halle also shared how her family was gearing up to celebrate the holidays with 11-month-old son Halo.
“We’ll be home in L.A. Lots of food, lots of gifts, lots of things for Halo,” Halle said of her family’s Christmas plans. “It’s going to be his Christmas.”
Chloe added, “His first official Christmas!” Chloe added.
Earlier in November, Chloe sat down with Essence Magazine to discuss an additional campaign that she was a part of in conjunction with Carter’s children’s clothing. The campaign was called the “S’Auntie Claus” campaign. The campaign celebrated the contributions all aunties and aunt figures make in children’s lives.
During the interview Essence asked Chloe what are some of her favorite ways that she spoils her nephew and she shared one of the sweetest things that you can do with a child, make them “giggle.”
“One of my favorite ways to spoil baby Halo is by acting like his own personal clown. Anytime I can make him laugh and giggle, I know I’ve done my job. Also, I know babies outgrow their stuff quickly, so I always like to find cute little staple pieces. And his very first jewelry piece was from me, his gold-plated halo bracelet.”
Halle shares her son with YouTube personality and rapper, DDG. In October of this year, the couple parted ways, with DDG confirming the split on social media.
“Dear friends and supporters, After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we shared.”
“Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other,” DDG continued.
DDG concluded, stressing that he and Bailey will “focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents [and] cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.”
We cannot wait to see pictures of Halo’s “first official Christmas.” We have no doubt that it will truly be magical.
