As the days pass, it seems that technology is growing by the minute. To add another layer to the changes, Casio is taking a bold step with the launch of its CRW-001-1JR digital ring watch for the brand’s 50th anniversary.

Scheduled to release next month, the CRW-001-1JR isn’t your ordinary watch. While most rings double as health devices or fitness trackers, this innovative ring stays true to Casio’s roots. Instead of featuring heart rate monitoring or sleep tracking, the CRW-001-1JR focuses on the simplicity of telling time. At the center of the ring watch is a 7-segment LCD screen. The small screen display gives a clear read of the hours, minutes, and seconds, mimicking the style of Casio’s traditional digital watches.

Additionally, the CRW-001-1JR has three functional buttons that are discreetly integrated into its design. By using the buttons, users can toggle through displaying the time, date, or dual time zones and even access a stopwatch mode. The futuristic watch is also crafted from durable stainless steel, weighs 16 grams, and combines style and functionality. To add to its appeal, the CRW-001-1JR is not only waterproof and crafted from durable stainless steel but is also powered by a replaceable battery that lasts up to two years before needing a replacement.

Nonetheless, Casio is set to release the CRW-001-1JR exclusively in Japan in December 2024 at the price of ¥19,800 (approximately S$172).
