Kelis, the multifaceted singer and entrepreneur, is stepping into the world of children’s literature with the release of her very first book, “Seven Wonders of Africa.” Known for her genre-defying music career and successful ventures in food and business, Kelis is now channeling her creativity into a new project that blends storytelling with her distinctive voice.

The book marks an exciting new chapter for the artist, showcasing her passion for nurturing young minds and inspiring imagination. In an additional post, the 45-year-old expands upon her first children’s book, in addition to announcing that she started a company, “Make It Brown,” for the “sole purpose of providing characters and stories about places and adventures our children can see themselves in.”

“I’m so happy to finally show you something I’ve been working on. I WROTE MY FIRST CHILDREN’S BOOK!!! I started a company called MAKE IT BROWN. With the sole purpose of providing characters and stories about places and adventures our children can see themselves in. This is all about love and representation” Kelis wrote.

She concluded, “This story has been inspired by my journey through out Africa this year. I’ve been traveling with my family and we have been so grateful to be able to see all the beauty this continent has to offer. From its people to the land it has been nothing short of amazing.
