Gopuff has announced that it is now accepting EBT payments for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) purchases nationwide, making it the first Instant Commerce platform to gain USDA approval for this service. This change means that millions of SNAP-eligible Americans can now use their benefits to purchase groceries and pantry staples through Gopuff’s network of micro-fulfillment centers.

“Our goal has always been to provide fast, affordable food and essential items,” said Yakir Gola, Gopuff’s co-CEO. “Allowing SNAP-eligible families to access groceries quickly and conveniently is a key step in serving our customers better.”

The company’s partnership with Forage, a USDA-approved third-party payment processor, enabled the integration of EBT payments. Customers can use the Gopuff app to add an EBT card, shop for eligible items, and have their orders delivered directly to their doors.

Gopuff’s efforts align with its broader commitment to food accessibility and support for underserved communities, including those in food deserts. Since 2019, Gopuff has partnered with Feeding America to donate millions of pounds of food and continues to find ways to serve communities in need.
