In a recent YouTube vlog, DDG shared that he hopes to have more children with Halle Bailey despite their recent split

The rapper and YouTuber, who shares son Halo with The Little Mermaid actress, says he’s interested in having another child in the next two to three years.

“I do want to have another kid. But I will say this — I don’t want to have another kid too far away. Like, I don’t want Halo to be 10 and his little brother is 1. I feel like that defeats the entire purpose of having another kid.”

DDG also emphasized his desire to wanting kids with only one partner, saying, “One thing that I do not want to do is have ‘baby mamas.”

He continued, “So If I was to have another kid, it definitely would be with the same person. I don’t want to have kids with multiple people.”

Though DDG and Halle recently decided to go their separate ways, he shared that his family still feels whole.

When asked by a fan about what it feels like to “lose” his family,” DDG said, “I don’t know what people’s concept of losing a family is, but um, I still have my family. Like, is losing a family because we like, not together or something, but I don’t—I don’t—I don’t know. I thought you was family forever in this type of situation, so I don’t know what you mean by losing a family.”

Reflecting on life as a dad, DDG expressed how much joy his son has brought into his life.

“Life’s been great. Life since Halo’s been very, very good. It’s been just something nice to come home to. Somebody ain’t gonna never judge you, gonna buy all your music and stream all your songs… Just cool to have somebody like that and wake up to every single day. It’s a beautiful feeling… it’s unconditional love.”

Speaking of Halo, DDG is excited for Halo’s upcoming first birthday in December.

“Very, very, very excited, can’t wait. We actually spending a lot of money on his birthday. I feel like the first birthday don’t really be for the kid, it be for the parents. I’m excited, I can’t wait. He has no idea what’s going on, so hopefully by that time he’s fully walking and moving around. He already trying to walk now, so it should be a dope experience for him.”
