Cyn Santana is opening up about her experience with post-partum depression following the birth of her second child.

In an  Instagram post, the Love & Hip Hop star shared her journey, hoping to offer support to other mothers facing similar struggles.

She wrote, “I’ve decided to be loud & open about my postpartum depression. While we have heard of it and now a days more commonly speak on it, I don’t think we have acknowledged it enough. It is difficult to understand and explain, for me at least. I am no expert, I’m just a new momma of 2 going through the motions. As I sit here experiencing it, I could not help but think about all the other mothers who are also experiencing this.”

Reflecting on the intense emotions postpartum depression can bring, Santana described how it affects her daily life.

“I want you (and myself) to know that this will not last forever. I know that this feels permanent…. The imbalance. The unbalance. The overstimulation. The sleep deprivation. The angst. The loss of identity. The pain, sadness, exhaustion. I want you to know that you are doing motherhood well. Your baby loves you and is so happy to be yours. Your baby chose you as their mother,” she shared.

In her message, Cyn Santana encouraged other mothers to speak up, lean on their faith, and remember their own strength.

“I want you to know that you CAN do hard things. I encourage you to speak to someone, anyone, about how you’re feeling. If you need help, don’t be ashamed to ask. Offer yourself the same grace you would give to someone you love. Motherhood has many faces. Day by day. Step by step. I’m here for anybody that needs an ear or an open heart. Love always, Cyn ,” she concluded.

Santana first revealed her pregnancy back in July with a video showcasing her baby bump, along with a sparkling ring on her finger.

While she hasn’t confirmed rumors about her relationship status, internet speculation suggests that Chef Kwame Onwuachi, the owner of New York City’s popular restaurant Tatiana, might be the father of her baby.

Santana, who shares her son, Lexington, with ex-fiancé Joe Budden, is now a proud mother of two kids.
